Paul Kenny was appointed as Ireland’s first Pensions Ombudsman in 2003 having already spent over 40 years in the Pensions Industry with IPT and Mercer. Most of Paul’s career has been spent as a pension consultant, but from 1988 onwards he was responsible for technical information, compliance and trustee training. He is the author of “Understanding Pensions, the Friendly Guide to Pension Schemes”. He was a Director of the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland for ten years and its Chairman for three years. He is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and was a founder Fellow and Council Member of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management.
